When you use Mindforest, you're cool with the terms in this Privacy Policy. Your privacy matters a lot to us, and we're all about keeping your info safe and sound. We want you to feel secure while enjoying our philos, so you can use our services without worrying about your personal data.

The Non-Clinical Boundary

Mindforest exists to solve the "Silent Crisis" of individuals recovering from brain injury, stroke, or burnout, but we are not a medical clinic or a clinical rehabilitation center. Because we operate as a "Trampoline" for vocational reintegration rather than a medical facility, we do not collect, store, or request medical diagnostic data or clinical histories. We believe your medical journey is your own; our role is to provide the "Groundsite" and the digital scaffolding for your future independence.

Digital Data and Local Storage

Our digital tools are designed local-first, to respect your cognitive limits and personal boundaries. The personal content you create in them — and in Steady Today, your daily energy logs and tasks — is stored in a database on your device, not on our servers. We never transmit this content to the cloud, include it in notifications, or share it with anyone; we cannot see it. Uninstalling an app removes it from your device. The only data we keep on our servers is the small set of account data described below.

Steady Today App (Appstore & Google Playstore)

To provide accounts and syncing, Steady Today stores a limited set of data on our servers, hosted by Appwrite in Frankfurt (EU), acting as our data processor:

• Account: your name, email address, and account ID. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
• Preferences and usage counters: your chosen focus area, notification and app settings, time zone, device platform, streak counts, total days tracked, and referral code.
• Push notification token: only if you enable notifications; it is deleted from our servers when you turn them off.

We use this data solely to create and manage your account, sign you in, sync your preferences, deliver notifications you request, and send transactional service emails (verification, password reset, welcome, and account-deletion confirmation). The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics; we never sell your data or share it with third parties. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS).

We keep this data only while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated server data at any time in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account — deletion is immediate, with no retention period.

Steady Today is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We limit data collection to the absolute essentials required to provide our services and manage our "Groundsite" operations in Northern Portugal. For individuals joining our waitlists or newsletters, we collect basic contact information, such as your name and email address, which is stored in our self-hosted database. For members attending our physical farm program in Arcos de Valdevez, we may collect emergency contact information to ensure your safety during hands-on work in the food forest.

Payments and Future Goods

To support our private-pay models and digital subscriptions, we utilize secure, third-party payment processors such as Stripe and RevenueCat for our applications. Mindforest does not see or store your financial credentials; all transactions are encrypted and managed through these trusted partners.

In-app subscriptions in our mobile apps are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play; we never receive or store your payment details

Cookies and Technology

We use minimal tracking technologies on our website to understand how users interact with our studio. These tools are used solely to analyze traffic and improve our services, rather than for invasive marketing. These technologies apply to our website only — our mobile apps contain no cookies, trackers, or third-party analytics.

Your Rights and Account Closure

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or erase your personal data.

For Steady Today, you can exercise erasure yourself: delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account, and all server-side data is removed immediately.

Locally stored app content is removed by uninstalling the app.

For newsletter and waitlist contacts, you may request deletion of your information at any time, and we will cease all promotional communications immediately upon request. For any privacy request, contact info@mindforest.today.
